Beneath the ancient woodland of the South Downs National Park lies a landscape littered with traces of the people who have lived and worked on the South Downs. Over the past three years the Secrets of the High Woods project has captured LiDAR data which has discovered a host of human stories hidden beneath the trees.
This film tells the story of the project, from its inception to the volunteer experience and details the archaeological discoveries.
www.magshoots.com were hired to shoot the exhibition and live event at the Portsmouth Museum. Was a wonderful day shooting with some fantastic people. The mix of technology and history was incredibly captivating for the kids visiting the museum… and the adults too!
The project has been led by the South Downs National Park Authority, in partnership with Chichester District Council, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
